"Transforming Lives Through Intercessory Prayer and Fasting"

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR FATHER

.....When you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, God became your Father, "For you are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ" (Galatians 3:26). The eternal God adopted you and received you as His own child. What a privilege! You are now a child of God! The almighty God of heaven and earth is your heavenly Father!

.....Now that God is your Father, you have the privilege and responsibility of growing in your understanding of Him and His ways. In this section of the web site, the focus is on the character and ways of your Father. The material in this section is a survey of what the Bible teaches about your Father. Each link will deal with what a particular book of the Bible teaches about your Father.

.....You can use this material in a variety of ways. You could meditate on each of these truths and write these down in your "My Father" notebook. You could ask yourself the question, "What difference does this truth about my Father make in my life?" Record these answers in your "My Father" notebook. You could mark these passages in your copy of the word of God and study the context for greater insight. You could use these truths to praise your Father. You might use these insights as prayer pointers that you can plead before God. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit how to use these truths concerning your Father.

.....It is our hope and prayer that this section of the web site will encourage you in the following ways:

(1) To gain a greater understanding of who your Father is;
(2) To enrich and deepen your praise of your Father;
(3) To increase and mature you ability to pray to your Father.

.....Your Father loves you. He wants you to know Him and develop an intimate relationship with Him. Will you ask Him to do this in your life?

"Father, I love You. I want to know You. I pray that You would reveal Yourself to me in new and profound ways. Teach me about Yourself. Show me Your ways, O righteous Father. I long to know You, love You, and praise You as never before in my life. Amen."
