Getting To Know Your Father - Gospel of Matthew

The Gospel of Matthew teaches you the following truths about your Father.

· Your Father sent a Savior to deliver you from your sin (1:1).
· Your Father sent a Savior who was a man-a man who would bear your penalty and provide you with forgiveness (1:1)
· Your Father keeps His promises (1:1).
· Your Father prepared the world for the coming of Jesus Christ (1:2-17).
· Your Father controls all things according to His purpose (1:2-17).
· Your Father chooses and uses people because of His grace and not their merit (1:2-17).
· Your Father sends angels to strengthen and help His people (1:20).
· Your Father is faithful to His Word (1:22-23).
· Your Father is worthy to be obeyed no matter what the command (1:24).
· Your Father leads people to worship His Son Jesus Christ (2:1-4).
· Your Father is greater and more powerful than any earthly ruler is (2:5-12).
· Your Father provided and protected His Son Jesus (2:13-15, 19-21).
· Your Father is not surprised nor thwarted by the evil of men (2:16-18).
· Your Father is watching over you and guiding you even when you are afraid (2:22-23).
· Your Father uses believers to prepare others to receive Jesus Christ (3:1-3).
· Your Father will use those who will separate themselves from worldliness and who will cry out to Him (3:4-6).
· Your Father is not pleased with religious ritual without the commitment of your life to Him (3:7).
· Your Father wants you to repent (3:8).
· Your Father wants you to bear fruit (3:9-10).
· Your Father will punish the unrepentant with unquenchable fire (3:12).
· Your Father has appointed and anointed Jesus as the only Savior (3:16-17).
· Your Father wants you to live according to His Word (4:4).
· Your Father does not want you to presume on His grace and mercy (4:7).
· Your Father desires that you worship Him and Him alone (4:10).
· Your Father sends the light of His salvation into the darkness of peoples' lives (4:12-17).
· Your Father desires to heal the sick and deliver the demon-possessed through His Son Jesus Christ (4:23-24).
· Your Father desires that your lifestyle be utterly different from those who do not know Him (5:1-12).
· Your Father has made you the light of the world and the salt of the earth through Jesus (5:15-16).
· Your Father desires that you lead a godly life so that it will lead others to praise Him (5:16).
· Your Father's Word is eternal, settled, and unchanging (5:17-20).
· Your Father longs for you to have godly, healthy relationships (5:21-26).
· Your Father wants you to pursue sexual purity in your thinking, feeling, speaking and acting (5:27-30).
· Your Father hates divorce and wants you to have a healthy marriage (5:31-32).
· Your Father longs for you to be truthful and faithful in your speech (5:33-36).
· Your Father requires that you resist seeking revenge but minister to others (5:38-42).
· Your Father wants you to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (5:42-44).
· When you love your enemies, you are showing that you are a child of God (5:45-47).
· Your Father causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good; He also grants rain on the just and the unjust (5:45).
· Your Father is perfect; He wants you to pursue this perfection in your life (5:48).
· Your Father does not reward empty religious rituals (6:1).
· Your Father sees in secret and rewards a person according to his or her motives (6:4-6).
· Your Father wants you to get alone with Him in secret; He longs for you to pray to Him (6:6).
· Your Father knows what you need before You ask Him (6:8).
· Your Father is the Father of all who believe in Jesus Christ (6:9).
· Your Father reigns in heaven as the sovereign God (6:9).
· You are to pray that your Father's name would be glorified (6:9).
· You are to pray that your Father's kingdom would come and that His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven (6:10).
· Your Father provides for your daily needs (6:11).
· Your Father is a forgiving God (6:14-15).
· You are to seek your Father's will when you fast (6:18).
· Your Father will tolerate no rivals in your life (6:24).
· Your Father cares about and provides for His creation (6:26).
· Your Father has more concern and care for you than anything that He has created (6:30).
· Your Father knows your needs (6:32).
· You are to seek Your Father's kingdom and righteousness above all other things (6:33).
· Your Father will give good and perfect gifts to those who ask Him (7:11).
· The one who does your Father's will has truly entered the kingdom (7:21).
· Your Father is glorified when people are transformed (9:8).
· Your Father is the Lord of the harvest who sends out workers into His harvest (9:38).
· Your Father has given you the Holy Spirit who speaks to you and through your (10:20).
· You are to fear your Father who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (10:28).
· Your Father's will includes the smallest details of your life (10:29).
· Your Father has an intimate knowledge of your life (10:30).
· Jesus will acknowledge before the Father those who were faithful to Him (10:32).
· Jesus will deny before the Father those who were unfaithful to Him (10:33).
· Your Father is the Lord of heaven and earth (11:25).
· Your Father has hidden the truth from the wise and intelligent and revealed it to the humble (11:25).
· Your Father does what pleases Him (11:26).
· Your Father has committed all things into Jesus' hands (11:27).
· Jesus has an intimate knowledge of the Father (11:27).
· Jesus reveals the knowledge of God to whom He will (11:27).
· Your Father has anointed and appointed Jesus as the only Savior; He is well pleased with Him (12:18).
· Jesus cast out demons by the Spirit of your Father (12:28).
· Whoever does the will of the Father is in an intimate relationship with Jesus (12:50).
· The righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of Your Father (13:43).
· Your Father's only Son, Jesus, is unique and worthy of worship (14:33).
· Those who do not know the Father will be judged and condemned despite their religious activity (15:13).
· Your Father should be glorified when He transforms lives (15:30).
· Your Father is the living God (16:16).
· Your Father reveals to people who Jesus Christ is (16:17).
· You are to set your interests on the Father's interests and not man's (16:23).
· Jesus is going to return in the glory of the Father to judge all men (16:27).
· The angels who protect you receive their guidance from the Father (18:10).
· It is your Father's will that you should not perish (18:14).
· Your Father will grant what you ask for when you pray in agreement with other believers (18:19).
· Your Father will condemn those who do not forgive from the heart (18:35).
· Your Father has ordained marriage (19:6).
· Your Father is good (19:17).
· Your Father makes it possible for sinful men and women to be changed and saved (19:27).
· Your Father has a place of service and sacrifice for you (20:23).
· Your Father welcomes into His kingdom any person regardless of who he/she is if they will surrender to Jesus (21:31).
· Your Father's kingdom consists of those who repent and bear fruit for Him (21:43).
· You are to render the honor that is due to your Father (22:31).
· You can experience the Father's power (22:29).
· Your Father is the God of the dead and the living (22:32).
· You must love your Father with all your being (22:37).
· Your Father is the One who reigns in heaven and deserves supreme allegiance (23:9).
· Your Father has appointed the time when Jesus will come to judge the world (24:36).
· Jesus will return in the glory of the Father (25:31).
· Your Father commands all the angels of heaven (26:53).
· Your Father sent Jesus to the cross to suffer your penalty and punishment (27:46).
· Your Father has given Jesus all power and authority in heaven and earth (28:18).
· You are baptized in the name of the Father (28:19).
