Getting To Know Your Father - Colossians
The
book of Colossians teaches you the following truths about your
Father.
¨
Your Father has a distinct plan and calling for your life (1:1).
¨ Your Father grants grace and peace to you (1:2).
¨ You should give thanks to your Father for other believers
(1:3).
¨ Your Father has prepared an eternal inheritance for you
in heaven (1:5).
¨ You have experienced the life-transforming power of your
Father's grace (1:6).
¨ Your Father wants to teach you and reveal His will to you
(1:9).
¨ Your Father wants you to increase in your knowledge of Him
(1:10).
¨ Your Father has glorious power that can strengthen you (1:11).
¨ You should continually give thanks to your Father for your
salvation (1:12).
¨ Your Father has given you the privilege of receiving an
eternal inheritance in heaven (1:13).
¨ Your Father has delivered you from the power of darkness
and placed you in His Son's kingdom (1:13).
¨ Your Father sent Jesus in order to reveal Himself to you
(1:15).
¨ Your Father created the world and all things in it through
Jesus Christ (1:16).
¨ Your Father has made Jesus Christ the center of His purpose
in this world. Through Jesus, He will accomplish His good pleasure
(1:19).
¨ Your Father has determined to make you holy, blameless,
and above reproach in His sight (1:22).
¨ Your Father determines and equips you for your place of
service in His kingdom (1:25).
¨ Your Father has made His plan of salvation known to you
(1:26).
¨ Your Father has allowed you to experience His glorious riches
through Jesus Christ (1:27).
¨ Your Father's power can work mightily in you (1:29).
¨ Your Father gives you the opportunity to know Him, His Son,
and His plan for your life (2:2).
¨ Your Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead by His own
power (2:12).
¨ Your Father has worked powerfully to accomplish His plan
of salvation (2:12).
¨ Your Father has given you new life in Christ and has forgiven
you through Christ (2:13).
¨ Your Father grants growth and increase to the church (2:19).
¨ Your Father has exalted Jesus to His own right hand (3:2).
¨ You are secure in your Father's love and purpose (3:3).
¨ Your Father will pour out His wrath on the sons of disobedience
(3:6).
¨ Your Father is working to transform you into the image of
His Son (3:10).
¨ You are the chosen, special, and loved child of Your Father
(3:13).
¨ Your Father's peace can guide you in the circumstances of
your life (3:15).
¨ You should sing praises to your Father (3:16).
¨ You are to give thanks to Your Father through Jesus Christ
(3:17).
¨ Your Father desires that you labor with all your strength
in all that you do (3:22).
¨ Your Father is your Master in heaven (4:1).
¨ Your Father can create opportunities for you to share the
gospel (4:3).
¨ Your Father has made you a worker in His kingdom (4:11).
¨ Your Father wants you to stand mature and complete in all
His will (4:12).
¨ Your Father has granted you a ministry through the Lord
Jesus Christ (4:17).
