Your
wife works. Whether your wife is a homemaker or holds a job
outside of the home, she works. She has numerous demands calling
for her attention, and energy. The key question is, "How
do you respond to her work?" Do you appreciate what she
does and encourage her in her work? A woman needs to have
a sense of fulfillment just as man does. Without it she experiences
frustration and unfulfillment. This will in turn affect your
relationship. Regardless of what kind of work your wife does,
she needs your support, encouragement, and prayers. The following
Scripture prayers can help you cover her as she works and
seeks fulfillment from her work.
Father, I ask that
_______________ would depend on You in all things. Help her
to find the balance between her abilities and reliance on
You (1 Corinthians 15:10).
Father, I plead that
__________________ would glorify You in everything that she
does. I pray that ________________ would work in such a way
that it glorifies You and brings honor to You (1 Corinthians
10:31).
Father, I ask that
______________ will do everything to the best of her ability.
Enable her to apply herself and do the very best job that
she can in all that she does. I ask that she will do this
so that Jesus will be honored and God the Father thanked (Colossians
3:17).
Father, You have said
in Your Word that the laborer is worthy of his reward. I ask
that ________________ would be compensated well for the work
that she does. I plead that she would be respected for what
she does and the way that she does it (1 Timothy 5:8).
Father, I pray that
You would work powerfully in _________________'s life. Cause
her to sense and know Your presence. Cause others to sense
and know that You are real and at work in and through her
life. I plead that You would establish the work of her hands
(Psalm 90:17).
Father, I ask that
_______________ would be diligent in all that she does. Deliver
her from idleness in any form (Proverbs 10:4, 14:23).
Father, I pray that
_________________ would be a woman of the Word. I ask that
she would daily read the Word, meditate on it, and put it
into practice in her life. As she does this, I plead that
You would make her way prosperous and that You would grant
her good success (Joshua 1:8).
Father, I pray that
_______________ would use her time wisely. Help her to make
the most of the time that she has (Ephesians 5:15-16).
Father, Your Word declares
that the labor of the righteous leads to life. I pray that
You would empower _______________ to live and work for You.
Grant her fulfillment through her work. I ask that she would
experience the abundant life that Jesus came to provide (Proverbs
10:16; John 10:10).
Father, I pray that
You would show me ways to encourage ________________ in her
work. Grant me the power to help her in all that she does.
Make me sensitive to what she does and teach me how to affirm
her (Ephesians 5:25).
Father, I ask You to
enable __________________ to overcome the temptations that
she faces at work. Grant her the strength and wisdom to resist
the attacks of the enemy that will come through her work (1
Corinthians 10:13).
