wants to use your child to advance and build His kingdom.
He has committed the precious opportunity to shape and mold
your child for this purpose. The primary way that you can
do this is by praying for him/her. You can cry out to God
to prepare your child for usefulness in His kingdom. The following
prayer guide is offered to help you plead for this.
Father,
I plead that ___________________ would never be ashamed of
the gospel of Jesus Christ. I ask that he/she will recognize
it as the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes
(Romans 1:16).
I
ask that ___________________ would be blameless and pure,
a child of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation. Cause him/her to shine like a star in
the universe as he/she holds out the word of life (Philippians
2:15-16).
I
pray that _________________ will be filled with the knowledge
of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding
so that he/she may live a life worthy of You and may please
You in every way. I ask that he/she would bear fruit in every
good work and would grow in the knowledge of You (Colossians
1:9-10).
Lord
Jesus, I plead that __________________ would follow You and
that You would make him/her into fishers of men (Matthew
4:19).
I
ask that ___________________ would sing of Your great love
forever. I pray that he/she will make Your faithfulness throughout
all generations (Psalm 89:1).
Father,
I pray that You would give ______________________ the words
to so that he/she would fearlessly make known the mystery
of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19).
I
ask that _________________ would not be afraid or worried.
Instead, I pray that ______________ will worship and serve
Christ as the Lord of his/her life. Enable him/her to always
be ready to explain about his/her faith and hope in Jesus
Christ. Empower him/her to do this in a gentle and respectful
way (1 Peter 3:14-16).
I
plead that ________________ would live wisely among those
who are not Christians and empower him/her to make the most
of every opportunity to share his/her faith. I pray that _________________
lifestyle would be gracious and effective so that he/she will
have the right answers for everyone (Colossians 4:5-6).
Lord
Jesus, I pray that _________________ would go and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching these new disciples
to obey all the commands that You have given. Cause him/her
to know that You are always with him/her (Matthew 28:19-20).
Father, I pray that You would fill ___________________ with
the Holy Spirit and that ________________ would share the
Word of God with boldness (Acts 4:32).
